Budget Ski Travel Tips (Zero To Travel Podcast Audio Transcript)
Hey everyone, My name is Tim Wenger. I live in Denver, Colorado and am a self-proclaimed, and if you ask my wife, probably somewhat ridiculous, snowboard junkie. Like all of you guys I love to travel. In the winter I tend to base most of my travel around snowboarding and over the years have gotten pretty good at doing it on a budget. I’ve been everywhere from the Jungfrau in Switzerland, to the northern tip of Michigan to up and down the Rocky Mountains from Jackson Hole Wyom

5 front range Apres-Ski spots just off I-70 that aren't overcrowded
If you have spent much time skiing Colorado's front range, chances are high that you have dealt with the crowds- from standstill traffic on I-70 to hour-long waits at Summit County restaurants, the horde of tourists mixed with Denver's weekend warriors can be quite a headache. I prefer to sit down while I enjoy a drink after a long day on the mountain. Here are five pubs that tend to avoid 3 PM tourist rush, meaning you won't be stuck standing awkwardly between a wooden post

Thoughts from the 'Warren Miller's Chasing Shadows' premiere
The tradition lives on. Warren Miller's Chasing Shadows played at the Lone Tree Arts Center last night to a packed house of eager skiers, snowboarders, and suburban weekend warriors last night. Plenty of hoops and hollers, although less alcohol flying around than I've noticed at the downtown premieres. I dig it, to be honest- I've always loved premieres (I have been involved on the musical side with the past two Snowboard on the Block fesivals) and the vibe at the Warren Mill

5 Ways to Crush It when riding the front range on a weekend
1. Be out of Denver by 6 AM It's early, I know. But you'll thank me when you're killing time drinking coffee and eating a breakfast burrito in the base lodge instead of sitting in the I-70 gridlock. The traffic heading into and from the mountains on weekends is worse than Denver's weekday rush hour, so do yourself a favor and wake up early. Wait to have breakfast until you are either at the resort or in Summit County. This is the perfect way to kill that extra time before the

Day 3 on the snow- The season's first powder day and untracked lines at Loveland
Day 3 on the mountain this winter, at Loveland Ski Area. Approaching the top of lift 6, a horde of anxious skiers fly down a run just opened that morning. The night before, I waxed my board in anticipation of 20 inches of pow. Instead, we only got 6 inches. In mid-November, though, that is nothing to complain about. #loveland #snowboarding #powder
